Proposal for a competition for a temporary riverboat pavilion in Louisville. Conceived as a triangulated galvanized steel tube space frame and generated through serial digital modeling the structure is enveloped in a meandering translucent and opaque paneling system that allows for filtered light to pass through while providing shade and pro-tection. Its overall form is understood as a study in rotation, alluding to the movement of the paddlewheel and the turbulent flow of the river along its Falls through the weaving of multiple overlapping materials.
