Architecture is empowered by embracing power. In other words, in order to deploy an agenda (cultural, political, urban), the architect must inevitably act on behalf of someone else’s agenda. If form is by definition a representation of the political, the project deals with the question of using form to install a vision of the city while also minimizing the representation of predominant urban forces. Form is provisionally defined as the full range of devices upon which one could strategize towards a goal (as opposed to simply the appearance, or what used to be called the formal). this proposal attempts an act of stealth through a public surface that has manifold latent and potential uses. The formal act is reduced to a flat surface with inscribed instructions and stored operable devices that need to be respectively read and activated by the users, that is to be open to use and misuse.
